A new post and I know a should blog more
I know, I know, I should blog more but it just seems there isn't enough hours in the day to get all my things done.
Well today I have more to talk about then silly family stuff and scrapbooking. A conversation I had this morning made me start thinking and maybe if I share my story it will open some eyes.
I totally believe that as Americans we need to do something about the problems here in our country before we worry about what is going on anywhere else. You don't have to agree with me, I don't expect that. We, here in the US have too much poverty, jobless, homeless, lack of education, heath care, I could go on but you know what I mean. There needs to be something done now before future generations suffer for it.
To go on with my story my friend and I where talking along these lines and about 9/11Which I want to send a special message to the families of all the heroes from that day and the days following, you will be remembered in all our hearts forever.
This story has nothing to do with 9/11 it just shows that we need to do something with this country before it is too late.
I have lupus and I had been going to this rheumatologist for a couple of years.
We had insurance through my husband's work. Well he had his job cut and was permantly laid off.
The visit after the insurance ran out I was chatting with the nurse and I mentioned that I needed to tell the receptionist about an insurance change.
The nurse asked if my husband had gotten a new job and I said no our private insurance was cancelled so I have Medicaid until we get on our feet.
Well she was out of that exam room and the next thing I knew I was out the door. The doctor doesn't take Medicaid patients.
I am sorry but that was the rudest most inhumane thing to do to a person. There needs to be a change in the health care and other systems so low and middle incomes can survive with feeling embarassed. I would never want anyone to feel the way I did that day.
Writing the doctor a letter telling him how he made me feel that day did no good. He basically blamed it on the "SYSTEM".
My nephrologist at the time took both letters and showed them to the different groups of doctors so I guess my doctor with the insurance problem now has a peer pressure problem.
Hopefully that will make some people think, I don't understand most people.

Things that kids do!
Okay everyone I was babysitting my Granddaughter the other day. We had been playing and she had lunch. Well then it was naptime. I had my computer out and sat down and was doing some work when the screen went blank.
I tried everything no luck it would not come up! I had been getting messages that I needed to replace my battery. So I figured that was what it was!
I used the other laptop I had to try and contact the company and finally ended up calling them.
After a hour of confusion and anger, I gave up. It was only a couple of months over the warranty.
Well to get to the point of my story, after my granddaughter woke up i returned the computer to my desk. I thought what the heck I will plug it in for the heck of it. Maybe it will come back up!
(Wishful thinking)
Well I plugged it in and it worked! Perfectly! That little sneek of a granddaughter had shut off the switch to the plug that I had the computer plugged into!!!! LOL
I tell you everyone I told had a good laugh over that. It took me awhile to see the humor in it!

New Beginnings
I have put off posting my first post and I really don't know why! I guess it seems I have a blog (This will be my third) all set and loving it, went something happens. I think I am afraid to put some love in this one to have it disappear like the other two.
